Congratulations!

To the Dark Dungeon? team,

Congratulations on creating a set of quick and efficient rules as well as a compelling setting that sparks the imagination! The level of activity on the forum gives me the impression that the project is dead (or at least on life support) but I certainly hope to, maybe one day, see Dark Dungeon on a shelf at my local game store.

Cheers,

Dyvim Matt.

P.S.: An anti-role-playing-games tract is produced by Chick Publications, a U.S.-based, very conservative evangelical christian organization. The title of that so-called "Chick Tract" is "Dark Dungeons". I live in Canada and have never seen a physical copy of it, but I heard a lot of U.S. gamers saw it, and it's easily found on the internet. Is the tract famous in Europe as well, and does the title of your game have any relation to it? I'm just curious. Although the "Dark Dungeons" tract makes no sense at all (RPGS are depicted as supposedly a front for devil-worshippng cults according to Chick Publications), I thought it was really funny to find a role-playing game with the very same title.

"Dark Dungeons"

Hello Dyvim!

Thank you for your praise and appreciation :-)
The website is indeed pretty much on life support, and in need for overhaul. Unfortunately,
so is most of the rules and background writing. Personally I still play, and so do small
scattered groups around the world.

The name of the "Dark Dungeon?" game was indeed inspired on the bizarre Chick publication you
wrote about. I may have it laying around somewhere :-)

Cheers, Jake (game designer)

P.S. if you are interested, there is at least one "off the record" pdf rulebook with extensive
skills and magic discipline listings.
