What's the use of Faith if you can only use it once?

()

Hi there,

What I do not understand about faith is the fact that you can use each miracle once.

So...
If your party member is seriously wounded (1 S) and the priest with faith in a healing Saint prays for a healing, and it works. Can this person never be healed again in this way by the priest? If that's the case, faith doesn't seem to be very usefull (in gameterms).

Can you not heal or summon an Angel with Ceremony? Because that can be done with faith?

It is a bit confusing. Probably I am thinking too difficult about this subject. :)

I hope my 'problem' is clear. If not. By all means ask.

Kind Regards
Gerard

You cannot ask for the same

You cannot ask for the same favor from the same deity in the same circumstance more than once.

If someone is wounded, and a prayer to heal him fails to be heard, then one can pray for him again if he is wounded again. Also, he will heal naturally if he does not die. Or he could be healed by magick, or even another deity or saint from another pantheon. Game Masters could make up nice stories this way, when one saint fails to halp, but another does (at a price?).

Ceremony is purely a series of rituals to bless, or protect with holyness, an area, object, place, mission, person, contract (such as marriage), etc. Thus it may also hold of undead and supernatural evil to an extent.

Although there are "ceremonies" to summon angels or to heal, these would be magick disciplines in the game. If a priest(ess) wants to bring in an angel, he or she has to pray - asking, and not commanding.
